I haven’t reviewed an eyeliner here for a while now, and the reason is that I don’t like to open too many eyeliners at a time lest they dry out before I can use them up. If you are new to this blog then let me tell you that I am a fan of matte black eyeliners that stay on all day and am constantly on the hunt for new ones. This quest recently lead me to the Sugar Cosmetics I Warned You So Double Matte Eye Liner, and here is a review of this product for all of you.
I finally have my hands on the newest baby on the block that every beauty blogger is talking about – the Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder! While I am not much of a powder person, I was feeling the need for a powder to blot out the shiny areas of my face towards the middle of the day, and the launch of this translucent powder seemed like divine intervention. So without much ado, here is a breakdown of all the features of this product.
The Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder is an extremely finely milled talc that is completely colourless. It can be used for setting the entire face makeup, as well as for blotting or baking purposes. I personally prefer it more for setting my makeup or blotting any shiny patches on my skin. The powder comes with a puff applicator that is suitable for blotting purposes but I feel that you will need a brush if you wish to bake or set your makeup with this product. The packaging is also extremely sturdy, with a flip lid that clicks into place and has a mirror too. This sturdy packaging is really useful for a loose powder because it ensures that the powder doesn’t spill all over your makeup bag.
The powder dispensing mechanism is your typical sieve-like arrangement with a powder compartment at the bottom that dispenses the powder through the holes. Be careful with the amount of powder you use though, a little goes a long way and you need to work with a tiny amount of product to prevent looking white. If you use the right amount of product, it leaves your makeup looking matte and provides a creaseless, smooth, airbrushed finish. Unfortunately, the product does give a small amount of flashback, so be a little wary if you are going out at night and will be clicking pictures. Also, be careful not to spill or inhale the powder because that is definitely not good for you.
Overall, this is a decent loose translucent powder and I absolutely adore its packaging when compared to the sloppy packaging of some of the other translucent powders that I have tried. The price point of INR 599 is not the most affordable but you can grab it during one of the many offers that Sugar keeps running on its website. If you are a powder lover then it is worth giving this powder a shot and if you are someone who has just started experimenting with loose powders then this may be a nice product to begin with!
Matte lipsticks are definitely my jam but sometimes my lips need something a little more hydrating, which is why I recently picked up 2 shades from the Sugar Never Say Dry Creme Lipstick Collection. I went for the shades 06 Raisin Helen and 07 Mauve Actually, and here is what I think about these lippies.
The formula of the Sugar Never Say Dry Creme Lipsticks is super creamy, soft, and intensely pigmented. It glides on the lips and provides even pigmentation in one swipe. The lipsticks have a slight sheen to them but are not too glossy and do not contain any shimmer. They are pretty buttery, and while they do not slide too much on the lips, application will be a little easier if you use a liner first.
The shade Raisin Helen is a beautiful yellow-toned brown which will be a nice deep nude for most Indian skin tones. It is warm toned without being rusty and is a great alternative to a pinky nude. On the other hand, the shade Mauve Actually is a much bolder colour which is a deep mauve, almost like a toned down version of a plum shade. This shade too will suit all Indian skin tones but will look better for an outing or special occasion than for daily wear.
Since the formula is not matte, it is obviously not super long-lasting, but it does stay put on the lips for a good 4-5 hours if you do not eat anything. It transfers while eating but fades pretty gracefully, leaving a light wash of colour behind. Also, my lips feel super nourished when I use these lipsticks, so I do not mind reapplying them every 4 hours or so. Priced at INR 499, these lipsticks are quite good for the price and the quality is really impressive, so do check out the shade range of this collection if you are on the hunt for creamy lipsticks.
Sugar Cosmetics recently launched 10 new shades in their Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick range and I HAD to buy at least one of them because it is my favorite liquid lipstick formula. While the original shades included more of reds and pinks, the new shades are all about muted nudes, browns and mauves – basically, every lip color that is in trend these days. I have already reviewed the formula of the Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks in a previous post (click here to read) but to summarize, it is ultra matte, intensely pigmented, completely transfer proof, and super long-lasting (unless you eat some really oily food). I went for the shade Greige Rage (11) this time because I wanted something that would go with a lot of different outfits and looks, and I was not disappointed.
Greige Rage is a deep rosy/pinkish brown that would look amazing on all Indian skin tones. It is a dark nude shade that provides the oomph factor to any daytime look while being dark enough to look stunning with a smokey eye for the night. The color looks slightly darker in the packaging than on the lips so make sure to check the swatches before you make your purchase. The formula sets in a matter of seconds and stays budge proof all day long, making it a fuss-free nude for the hectic days. Here is a picture of me sporting the shade with a soft brown eye look that is perfect for the day and night.
The Sugar Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks are priced at INR 499 each and the amazing points system on the Sugar website makes them even more affordable. If you are a fan of intense pigmentation and excellent longevity then these liquid lipsticks are tailor-made for you, provided you don’t mind super matte formulations. Also, the wide range of shades makes sure that everybody will find a color they love. So, what are you waiting for? Click this link and get your hands on one of these beauties now!

I lifted my self-imposed shopping ban for a day to purchase the Sugar Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick in the shade Rust Lust. I have been obsessed with terracotta reds for some time now and the amazing swatches and reviews of other bloggers were so tempting that I had to buy this lipstick. Trust me, every penny I spent on this awesome product was completely worth it!
This product is the true definition of a liquid lipstick. The formula dries completely matte on the lips and does not smudge or budge at all! You have only a few seconds to work with this product before it clings to your lips in a stubborn manner. Also, the pigmentation is superb and you only need a tiny drop to provide opaque color to your lips.
Red liquid lipsticks are the most tricky to apply, but the teeny tiny wand picks up the perfect amount of product and allows precise application. The color is a brick red with a slight tinge of orange. It looks like a true red in white light though. It is the perfect shade of red for the summer months.
Here is a swatch of the product on my hand after I vigorously tried to rub it off just a few seconds after application. It does not budge at all! On my lips, it stays intact all day long and does not transfer even slightly. Always remember to scrub and hydrate your lips before using this lip color because it clings to every crease. It felt a bit uncomfortable while it was drying but once fully dry I found it surprisingly comfortable to wear. It is completely waterproof and I rely on coconut oil to remove it easily.
This is a revolutionary lip product in my opinion. How Sugar is able to provide such impeccable quality at a super affordable price of INR 499 is a mystery to me! I am dying to purchase all the colors from this range. If only I could justify spending any more money on lip products!
