My Current Winter Skincare Routine

I have switched up my skincare quite a bit recently to adapt to the cold weather. An updated skincare routine post was therefore overdue! So here is how I am pampering my skin on winter mornings and nights to keep it soft and glowy until the summer sun shines again!

My Current Winter Skincare Routine

AM Skincare Routine –
My AM routine starts with washing my face with The Face Shop Dr. Belmeur’s Daily Repair Foam Cleanser. This face wash gently cleanses the skin without stripping it dry and is perfect for the cold and dry weather. I am usually in a massive rush in the mornings, so I skip toner (guilty!) and directly go in with my Magic Dust Vitamin E Face Serum which makes the skin super soft and hydrated without feeling heavy at all. I then go in with a generous layer of the Tvakh Triple Protection Sunscreen, a lightweight and hydrating sunscreen that is a staple for me throughout the year because it doubles up as a moisturizer too. For my under eye area, I use the Mama Earth Eye Cream because it is super hydrating and affordable. I slap on my Organic Harvest Happy Lips Lip Balm and I am done with my skincare! While applying my makeup, I am currently enjoying mixing some rosehip oil with my foundation because it prevents my makeup from clinging to the dry patches and provides a beautiful sheen to the face. Rosehip oil is a great facial oil for me because it somehow reduces my acne and hydrates the skin without making it greasy, therefore being a perfect final touch to my AM skincare.

My Current Winter Skincare Routine

PM Skincare Routine –
Evenings are when I tend to pamper my skin a little bit more because I have a little more time and because skincare helps get rid of the fatigue of the day. I remove my makeup with the Garnier Micellar Bi-Phase Water and then cleanse my face with the Dr. Belmeur Face Wash. I then use the Tvakh Vitamin C toner and apply my Magic Dust Serum. I then apply a very generous layer of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel and my Mama Earth Eye Cream and Organic Harvest lip balm and am ready for some much-needed sleep! On alternate days, I use the Vya Naturals Rose Water as toner and add the Dr. Sheths Daily Peel to my PM skincare regimen. On the days when my skin is suffering from breakouts, I add the Skin Salad Charcoal Mask to my PM regimen, and if my skin is feeling dehydrated then I use a Dear Packer Home Remedy Sheet Mask after my serum.

Overall, this skincare routine has been working fairly well for my skin at this point of time and these products are the ones that I can recommend without batting an eyelid. If you have acne-prone, combination but dehydrated skin like mine then you can try out this skincare routine and let me know how it works for you! I would love to hear your take on these products and your go-to skincare routine at the moment 🙂

How To Brace Yourself For The Festive Season

The festive season is upon us, and while we have bid adieu to our beloved Ganpati, we are already gearing up for Durga Pooja! While we spend hours and hours cleaning up the house, shopping for pooja necessities and making our favourite sweets, we often forget to prepare our minds and bodies for the hectic festivities. Here are a few tips to take care of the things that are often overlooked during the pomp and fervour of Pujo and Diwali.

1. Haircare – Chances are that you will not be able to squeeze in some spa time once the festivities begin. Now that you have some breathing space, get a relaxing hair spa and even a haircut if you need one. This will make styling your hair so much easier for all the special days.

2. Skincare – Festivals mean oily food and heavy makeup, which can take a toll on the skin. Boost your skincare game well in advance by adding sheet masks and chemical exfoliants to give your skin the festive glow. You should also stock up on some charcoal face masks to deep cleanse your skin after the celebrations.

3. Food – No matter how tempted you might be to crash diet right before slipping into that stunning saree for Diwali, there are better ways of getting a flat tummy. Make it a habit to drink tonnes of water daily, eat fresh fruit instead of juices, and sip on a cup of green tea after a heavy meal to keep your metabolism running. Try to indulge in moderation and stick to healthy foods for as many meals as possible. This will ensure that you feel energetic and your skin doesn’t lose its radiance throughout the celebrations.

4. Outfits – Now is the right time to pull out, purchase and plan all your outfits for the events ahead. Get everything stitched and altered now, before your tailor dada starts quoting insane charges and has a huge pile of orders drowning him. Also, try out everything and plan the accessories for each outfit well in advance so that you can just grab them and get ready when the festive chaos ensues.

These are some of the ways in which I make my festivals hasslefree. How are your preparations going and do you have any special tips to make the festive season more fun? Let me know in the comments below!

Kara Skin Care Wipes | Review

Everybody swears by them already, but I never tried them before. Simply because I am not a fan of makeup wipes and personally prefer my entire arsenal of lotions and potions for an elaborate skin care routine. However, on my recent trips, the Kara Skin Care Wipes were absolute saviours for me. Here is why I liked this product so much.

IMG_6839.JPG

First of all, Kara Skin Care Wipes are made with 100% natural and biodegradable viscose fibre which I love. Secondly, they have the perfect amount of liquid infused in them, they do not feel dry or draggy on the skin and nor do they seep out too much liquid to make the skin sticky. The packaging is pretty compact and functional and even after multiple pulls, the remaining wipes retain their moisture and do not dry out. Also, the formulation of the liquid is very gentle on the skin and does not tingle or irritate even around the eyes.

Personally, I liked the Rose & Thyme variant more than the Seaweed & Lavender variant because it seemed gentler yet more effective at removing makeup. With one wipe, you can get rid off the first layer of makeup, but I will still recommend going in with a face wash to remove all traces of makeup that may be left behind. The wipes can also be used to refresh the skin and to get rid of the sweat and grime in the middle of a busy day.

IMG_6844.JPG

Overall, these are some of the best makeup wipes I have used from among the ones that I have tried during vacations. The price point of INR 85 for 10 wipes is pretty good for the quality and the pack size of 10 wipes is very practical for carrying around. I will definitely be trying more variants from the brand in the future and will report back to you with more reviews. In the meantime, do try the Rose and Thyme wipes and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

How To Get Rid of Dark Circles: Long and Short Term Solutions

Guest post by Trysh Sutton.

Dark circles under the eyes can really stand out when we’re sleep deprived or have particularly thin skin around the periorbital area. They’re also more likely to show up with age but there also exists a hand-full of other situations that can cause this unsightly discoloration.

Apart from the obvious concealer, there are several other long and short-term approaches to ridding yourself of dark circles so you save some money on concealing or save your concealer for a rainy day instead of having to constantly use it.

Short Term Solutions

Sleep

A lack of adequate sleep is a well-known trigger for dark circles in many individuals because blood vessels in the area dilate and become more visible when we’re tired. In some cases, fluid can also collect in the area and form undereye bags, especially when sleeping face down.

tee-1252397_1920.jpg

Tea Bags

Tea bags are a beauty industry secret famous for reducing dark circles and under eye bags, especially in the mornings.

The combination of tannins and caffeine help to constrict blood vessels in the area, thereby making them less visible.

To use tea bags for your dark circles, steep the tea bags in hot water as you normally would, put them in the fridge/freezer to cool and then place one over each eye.

Hydrate

When the body becomes dehydrated, fluid retention can occur and one of the places that the retention will present itself is under the eyes. Therefore, like many health and beauty problems, drinking adequate water could possibly be the answer for your under eye bags.

rub.png

Be Gentle

The skin and blood vessels around the eyes are very sensitive. Whether you’re constantly rubbing the area or tend to be particularly rough when removing your makeup, damage can occur quite easily so it is important to be very gentle when touching with that part of your face.

Long Term Solutions

Blood Testing

Lack of certain nutrients, particularly iron and vitamin B12, can manifest as dark circles around the eyes. There are other symptoms you can look out for, however, the only way to be entirely sure is to get a blood test done by your doctor.

roller.png

Derma Roller

A derma roller is a small, handheld device that has hundreds of tiny needles that create micro-injuries in the skin to jump-start collagen production in the area.

This collagen production increases the thickness of the skin which will reduce or clear your dark circles if thin skin is the culprit.

skin-care-1309504_1920.jpg

Retinol Creams

A retinoid is a vitamin A derivative that is hailed for its long list of benefits for the skin, one of which is boosting collagen production.

Like a derma roller, the increase in collagen production can lead to a thickening of the skin around the eye which can reduce the appearance of dark circles, if caused by thin skin.

Prescription retinoids usually give the best and fastest results but otc retinol creams are still pretty effective.

Cosmetic Procedures

There are several cosmetic procedures that you can take as a last resort for your dark circles. One of these is a fractional CO2 laser which is a procedure where the top layer of the skin is heated, boosting collagen production to create make it thicker and better able to hide the blood vessels underneath.

These tips and tricks will keep your under eye area looking bright and young. Do try these out to keep the concealer away!

Skincare Lust List – Innisfree Perfect 9 Repair Range

So I recently received a sample of the Innisfree Perfect 9 Repair Serum and Cream along with a Nykaa order and boy, I have never wished harder that I had a fortune to spend on skincare without burning a hole in my pocket! While I could only get 2 uses out of the sample packs, I could already see a massive difference in the texture of my skin. Read on to find out more about this amazing range!

innisfree-serum.jpg

The Innisfree Perfect 9 Repair Serum contains 9 active ingredients and claims to combat the signs of ageing while providing a smooth texture to the skin. To be honest, this was the star of the duo that I received. This light-weight serum literally sinks into the skin and instantly makes the skin feel extremely smooth to the touch. It visibly reduced my pores and was completely non-greasy. My skin felt tighter and more supple, which were perhaps the anti-ageing properties of the product in action. I know that it sounds too good to be true but this serum literally stole the thunder from all the other serums I have used to date.

innisfree-cream.jpgThe Innisfree Perfect 9 Repair Cream also contains 9 actives and claims to brighten, tighten, and hydrate the skin. This product has a creamy consistency but applies really smoothly on the skin and moisturises the skin extremely well without being greasy or heavy. It does not look shiny on the face and in fact has a semi-matte finish a few minutes post application. It also has a slight tightening effect on the skin, but I feel that the serum makes a more drastic difference to the skin than the cream.

The only downside of these products is their price. The serum is available at INR 4200 for a 50ml bottle and the cream is priced at INR 3400 for a 60ml jar. Since these products are definitely pricey, I would recommend investing in the serum alone. Also, it would be better to grab these when there is a deal on Nykaa (which I currently have my eyes out for). All my friends reading this should know by now what I need as a present for my next birthday and you should coax your friends to buy you these skincare gems as well!

Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water | Review

The Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water has been the talk of the blogosphere for both good and bad reasons. While it is an extremely affordable micellar water (INR 225 for 125ml) that works on waterproof makeup too, a lot has been said about the unsafe ingredients in the products. Read on to find out my thoughts on the product and the many controversies that surround it.

Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water | Review

The Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Water is a bi-phased makeup remover that contains micellar water and a layer of argan oil. The presence of oil makes this product effective at removing all kinds of waterproof makeup, including waterproof mascaras and stubborn liquid lipsticks. However, there are a few issues that I have with the marketing of the product.

Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water | Review

First of all, this product claims to be a “no rinse off” product which is something I am strongly against. I feel that any makeup cleanser needs to be washed off the face, whether it contains oil or not. Being a strong advocate of double cleansing, this “no rinse off” claim does not impress me. After using this product, a thin film of oil is left on the skin, which I HAVE to wash off with a face wash. This second cleanse would also remove any of the alleged harmful ingredients contained in the product. Secondly, I do not like the fact that this product is heavily fragranced, which could irritate sensitive skin and could also lead to breakouts. Thirdly, the product claims to remove all makeup in one swipe while in reality (as I expected) you will need multiple swipes to get rid of all the makeup on your face.

Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water | Review

Since I am no expert regarding the safety of skincare ingredients, I do not want to comment on that aspect, but I would recommend you to do your research on the ingredient list before investing in this product. I personally feel that perhaps the concentration of the allegedly harmful products could be low enough for this product to be allowed in the Indian market, and perhaps washing your face after using the product could eliminate its dangers to a large extent, however, you need to do your own research about whether this makeup remover will be safe for you or not. I personally consider Bhumika from Makeup and Smiles as an ingredient guru and here are her thoughts on the ingredient list of this product.

What are your thoughts on the controversy around this product? Let me know in the comments below!

Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk | Review

Remember the good old days of cleansing milk? Back when there were no micellar waters or cleansing balms to take our makeup off in one swipe? Those were the days when double cleansing was unheard of and a makeup wipe was hard to come by in a supermarket. With the advent of these products and waterproof makeup, the trusty cleansing milks lost their sheen and were pushed to the back of many a makeup closet, and I must confess, I purchased the Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk primarily for nostalgic reasons. While it is an absolute joy to relive a teenage memory, here is how the product fared in other departments.

Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk | Review

The Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk is a rich milky cream with the classic Nivea scent that I adore. It removes light weight makeup quite easily while being extremely nourishing and hydrating – I can actually feel that my skin is plumper and softer just after using this product. However, since I always wash my face with a cleanser after using this cleansing milk, I am not sure how much I actually benefit from its nourishing properties, although my skin does feel more moisturised than usual.

Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk | Review

When it comes to removing waterproof makeup, this cleansing milk does not fare so well, especially with waterproof mascara, eyeliner and liquid lipsticks. Personally, I reserve this for the days when I am wearing less or no makeup, because it also removes the dirt and grease from the skin even when there is no makeup on it. I love its creamy texture on the skin and the fact that is so very gentle, and no, it does not sting the eyes either!

Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk | Review

Overall, the Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk is a good option for those who wear light to minimal makeup on a daily basis. It can also be a good first cleanse of the makeup removal regimen for those who prefer heavier/long-wearing makeup. An excellent cleansing milk for all skin types, I would particularly recommend this one to those with sensitive skin.

Tvakh Triple Protection Sunscreen SPF 30+ | Review

When we were kids, most of us hated applying sunscreen, but now when I see a new sunscreen on the market, I can’t wait to get my hands on it! When Tvakh, one of my favourite skincare brands, launched a new sunscreen, I had to buy it. So here is my review of the Tvakh Triple Protection Sunscreen with SPF 30+ which provides protection from not just UV rays but also the blue light from electronic devices.

Tvakh Triple Protection Sunscreen SPF 30+ | Review

About the Product:  “Tvakh’s Triple Protection Sunscreen 30+ is a daily oil-free facial sunscreen for all skin types and is designed specifically as a new generation photo-protection creme that kills environmental aggressors and prevents premature signs of aging caused by free radicals from UVA/UVB, infrared radiation, ozone pollution and blue light radiation from laptop screens, mobile screens, Indoor lights.
The formula combines 5 cutting-edge environmental technologies that provide comprehensive protection against UV damage, pollution, blue light from devices and infrared radiation.

This advanced, innovative, moisturizing lightweight sunscreen shields against High Energy Visible (HEV) Light and diminishes the impact of Infrared (IR) Light — two harmful factors that lead to premature aging and skin damage from the blue-violet and invisible light emitted from electronic devices such as tablets, smartphones and computers making it by far, the most complete active product to effectively fight against all signs of photo-ageing.”

Tvakh Triple Protection Sunscreen SPF 30+ | Review

Ingredients – Aqua, Titanium Dioxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate*,  Aloe Barbendesis leaf juice, Glycerin, Trehalose, Methoxydibenzoylmethane* Benzophenone-3, Thermus Thermophilis Extract, Cucumber Extract, Melanin, Phospholipids, Papaya Extract, Wheat germ oil, Vegetable Squalane, 1,3-Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Potassium sorbate, Allantoin. Eco-certified preservative, Essential Oil Blend.

Tvakh Triple Protection Sunscreen SPF 30+ | Review

My Experience With The Product: This sunscreen from Tvakh is in the form of a light-weight lotion that does not leave any white cast or oiliness on the skin. It is quite hydrating and gentle on the skin and can double up as a day cream too. I like the concept of a sunscreen providing defense against pollution and the light from electronic devices as well because these are some of the top causes of skin ageing. While it is hard to determine if the product is actually providing protection against all these environmental factors, Tvakh is a brand that I trust, so I do believe that their claims are true. The visible effects of this sunscreen that I do see on my face are that my skin looks smoother after applying this product and it also adds a slight brightness to my face. I also like the gentle, refreshing action of this lotion, which I think is due to the aloe, cucumber, and papaya extracts present in the formula, along with glycerin.

Tvakh Triple Protection Sunscreen SPF 30+ | ReviewFinal Verdict: Overall, I feel that this sunscreen lotion will be great for those with all skin types but particularly for those with dry to normal skin. If you have sensitive skin then this product will work well for you too. The price point of INR 465 for a 100ml bottle is a decent price for the quality of ingredients used. Also, the bottle comes with a pump which makes this product extremely convenient to use and to travel with. I will definitely be reaching for this product whenever my skin is feeling a little parched and needs a gentle day cream that provides sun protection too. A good choice if you are in the market for a good sunscreen lotion!

Dermavive Moisturising Lotion with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal | Review

Some skincare ingredients are so amazingly effective that they have stood the test of time and have managed to retain a spot in skincare recipes ranging from age-old grandma’s concoctions to modern pharmaceutical skincare ranges. Oatmeal is one such ingredient that is known to be extremely gentle yet excellent at relieving the skin from irritation and itchiness caused by rashes, allergic reactions, and other skin conditions. In fact, it is so gentle and effective that oatmeal baths are even recommended for infants suffering from skin infections. Dermavive, an Australian brand that has recently launched in India, utilizes this time-tested ingredient in the Dermavive Moisturising Lotion that contains Natural Colloidal Oatmeal. The brand sent me the product to review a few days back and here is my review of this moisturising lotion.

Dermavive Moisturising Lotion with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal | Review

The Dermavive Moisturising Lotion has Natural Colloidal Oatmeal as its star ingredient. As I mentioned before, oatmeal is a scientifically proven skincare ingredient that helps to maintain the natural pH balance or acidity of the skin, reduces dryness, and creates a protective barrier on the skin. Therefore, this lotion is particularly suitable for those with dry, sensitive and irritated skin although it can benefit those with all skin types. The lotion has a thick texture but spreads easily on the skin and sinks in within seconds without leaving a white cast. It does not leave any greasy feeling on the skin but still provides intense hydration that lasts for hours and makes my skin feel super soft and smooth.

Dermavive Moisturising Lotion with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal | Review

Dermavive Moisturising Lotion with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal | Review

Since this product is meant for irritated skin, the brand has not added any artificial fragrance in the lotion. It has a mild natural scent that does not linger on the skin post application. The finish that this lotion leaves on the skin is really impressive, it does not feel like you have applied anything on the skin yet the skin feels really supple and hydrated. Also, the product helped to calm down a few rashes I had developed on my arms due to wearing some artificial jewellery, hence it does live up to its claims of relieving irritated skin. Even though this product is specifically targeted towards dry and irritated skin, its non-greasy texture, intense hydration and mild and light-weight formula make it perfect for all skin types. In fact, the brand claims that this product can be used on children and babies as well.

Dermavive Moisturising Lotion with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal | Review

The Dermavive Moisturising Lotion with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal is currently available on Amazon and Flipkart in India and is priced at INR 800 for a 120ml tube that is travel-friendly and comes with a flip lid. The price may seem a little steep but trust me, it is an excellent investment if you suffer from recurring skin issues and most skincare products don’t suit your skin. Overall, I am really enjoying using this product and would highly recommend it to all of you. No matter what your skin type, regular usage of this lotion will definitely improve the texture and look of your skin. So do give it a try and let me know your thoughts about this moisturising lotion.

Greenberry Organics Fresh Cucumber Mint Toner | Review

The Summer Gods are glaring down upon us and my skin keeps begging for something refreshing. Since I adore the Rose Water Face Mist from Greenberry Organics so much, I decided to try out their Fresh Cucumber Mint Toner to keep me cool in the heat. Read on to find out how I feel about this product.

Greenberry Organics Fresh Cucumber Mint Toner | Review

This refreshing toner is a green mist with a refreshing mint scent (which I love but those with a sensitive nose may find a little bothersome). Upon spraying on the face, it has a cooling, tingly, minty sensation on the skin which lasts for at least 15 minutes. This product is an excellent toner that leaves my pores feeling tighter and it has also reduced the greasiness of my skin, thereby making it perfect for those with oily skin who are suffering in the heat and humidity of the Indian summer. Also, my skin has been behaving quite well with hardly any breakouts since I started using this product. While this is definitely a combined result of all the skincare products that I use, the oil controlling properties of this toner have definitely helped in preventing breakouts.

Greenberry Organics Fresh Cucumber Mint Toner | Review

The formula contains a bunch of skin-loving ingredients such as Rose Water, Aloe Vera, Cucumber extracts and Witch Hazel extracts. The bottle is pretty sturdy, leak proof and travel-friendly while the spray comes out in the form of a fine mist that is perfect for the even coverage of the skin. This product claims to be a toner and makeup remover combined in one and while I wouldn’t use it on its own to remove my makeup, it definitely helps in getting rid of the residual makeup left on my skin after cleansing.

Greenberry Organics Fresh Cucumber Mint Toner | Review

To sum it up, this toner is really good for those with open pores and acne-prone, oily skin. It will help to dry out existing breakouts and will control oil production to prevent future breakouts while being extremely cooling on the skin. The product is priced at INR 400 for a 100ml bottle but is usually available on Amazon at around INR 250, which is a great price for the quality and quantity of the toner. A great buy for the summers in my opinion!

Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream | Review

While drinking coffee can make you lose your sleep, applying it under your eyes has the exact opposite effect and it makes them look well rested and puffiness-free. The Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream utilizes the efficacy of this ingredient to fight dark circles, puffiness and other under-eye issues. The brand was kind enough to send me this product to review and here is how it worked for me.

Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream | Review

About the Brand: “Vya Naturals products are formulated using natural ingredients that are not only safe and non-toxic but also effective. All formulations are original, created by the brand, and tested on people, not animals. Vya Naturals uses therapeutic- grade essential oils, natural plant-based butters, natural clays and plant-based waxes. And
they definitely DO NOT use parabens, sulfates, artificial colors, artificial dyes, mineral oils, formaldehyde, animal ingredients, artificial scents, phthalates, chemicals, fillers, mineral oils, or petroleum.
The brand name stands for
Vimal (pure)
Yajus (reverence)
Ayush (healthy life)

Vya is reverence for a pure and healthy life.”

Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream | Review

About the Product: “Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream reduces puffiness, dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles in the delicate skin around the eye area.
It is formulated with caffeine-rich green tea and green coffee extracts that de-puff and reduce swelling while increasing circulation to alleviate and brighten dark circles.
Other key ingredients include oils of rosemary, avocado, and rosehip which help in moisturizing the under eye area and delaying the formation of fine lines.
To apply, take a small amount using your ring finger and apply under the eye area by gently patting from inside to outside.”

Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream | Review

My Experience with the Product: The Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream comes in a beautiful blue bottle with a pump and is extremely travel-friendly. The formula is in the form of a light-weight cream that literally melts into the skin of the under eye area. A little goes a really long way with the product and you need the tiniest drop for both the eyes. The cream does not sting the eyes and does not have a noticeable scent, making it perfect for those with sensitive eyes. Right from the first use, this cream left my skin feeling extremely hydrated and removed that uncomfortable stretchy feeling that comes from getting insufficient sleep. While it is too early to comment on whether it will completely eliminate my dark circles, my under eye area has definitely become brighter than before and the fine lines have also reduced in just a few weeks. I have a strong feeling that with regular usage for a couple of months (twice a day), I will have a very smooth under eye area with hardly any fine lines.

Vya Naturals Caffeine Eye Cream | Review

While I am not wise enough to comment on all the ingredients, I do know that caffeine, avocado, and rosehip oil are some of my skin’s favourite ingredients, which is why this product works beautifully for me and I am sure it will work well for you too if you are diligent about using it daily. This product is perfect for those who want some intense hydration for the under eye area without that heavy/sticky feeling that some eye creams leave behind. It works really well under makeup and concealer applies really smoothly on top of it and creases less than usual. This eye cream is priced at INR 750 for a 30ml bottle but Vya Naturals is currently running an offer on Amazon where you can buy it for only INR 599! I think this is a great deal and this would be a great investment for anybody. Your under eye skin is one of the most delicate parts of the body so do try out this product to take care of it.

My Eye Cream Wish List

Can someone, anyone, please explain to me why eye creams are some of the most expensive skincare products out there, and why are so many excellent eye creams not available in India? I have been using the Mama Earth Eye Cream for several months, it is very nourishing and soothing but I feel that my under eye region is craving for a little bit more. The fine lines are irking me and the dark circles never go away, thanks to the lack of sufficient sleep. However, every eye cream that seems like something that would help with the situation can either not be shipped to India or is insanely expensive 😦 Anyway, here are the eye creams that I have been eyeing, and hope to buy one day when I have all the money in the world to spare.

1. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Treatment

Midnight_Recovery_Eye_3605975086881_0.5fl.oz..jpg

Kathleen Lights says that the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye treatment helps a lot with dark circles, and when Kathleen Lights says something, I trust her blindly. This cream is available in India on Nykaa.com BUT it costs a whopping INR 3200! I guess I will have to save up for this one.

2. Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream

s-l1600.jpg

Kaushal Beauty swears by the Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream and the ingredients do seem promising. This one claims to brighten the under eye area and depuff the much-hated bags, and I wish that this was available in India. The websites that do ship it to India have crazy shipping charges and you will have to shell out anywhere between INR 3000-4000 including shipping. Wish someone got it for me for my birthday!

3.  Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream

81pcSUkDD3L._SL1500_.jpg

The Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Cream has been featured in various “top eye cream” lists over the years and this one claims to work on both fine lines and dark circles. It is priced at INR 2,200 on Amazon for a tiny 14ml tube, but I am not sure whether the product is the original one because the reviews on Amazon India are not that great.

So these are the eye creams I have been lusting over at the moment. If you know of a relatively inexpensive eye cream available in India that works on fine lines and dark circles then please let me know in the comments below. In the meantime, I will start saving up for at least one of these!
