Wild Organica is an Indie brand that has come up with a skincare and haircare range that uses 100% organic ingredients. These products are handmade and are produced in small batches by the brand. Their team recently reached out to me, wanting me to review a few of their products and I gladly accepted the offer because I have heard great things about the brand from fellow bloggers. I received their CTM kit for acne-prone skin and the Wheat Protein Enriched Shampoo. Here is my review of all the products after testing them out thoroughly.
Mitti Se is an Indian brand that has recently received a lot of love from beauty bloggers, particularly on Instagram. The brand creates all natural products from ingredients that have been used in traditional Indian skincare for centuries. Somehow, I never got around to trying out the brand because I had way too much skincare to test out already but when I saw a sample size of the Mitti Se Wild Essence Face Wash on Smytten, I grabbed it. Ever since I started using this product, I have literally been kicking myself for not trying it out earlier because it is so good! So let us look at what this product claims to do in greater detail.
This product is an all-natural powder based facewash which you need to mix with water to apply to the face and it can be used as a face pack as well. What got me really excited about this face wash is the fact that it contains orange peel, lemon peel, and the essential oil of orange. I have recently been hearing such great things about the anti-pigmentation and anti-oxidizing benefits of Vitamin C that I have been trying to gradually incorporate it into my regimen and this product seemed like a great way to do the same. It also contains almond powder which acts as a mild scrub and a source of Vitamin E. Other ingredients included black and red gram flour and fuller’s earth (Multani mitti), which form an essential part of any homemade Indian facemask and have anti-tanning properties. This is combined with extracts of rose, neem, and turmeric that prevent acne and have anti-bacterial properties. Due to its mild exfoliating properties and the presence of anti-bacterial ingredients, this product does live up to its claims of being an anti-acne and anti-suntan face wash.
I personally prefer using this product as a face mask because then it gives even better results. I am usually not a fan of “high-maintenance” products that need to be made into a paste, as opposed to those that can be used directly out of the jar, but in fact, I quite enjoyed making this paste because the powder dissolves really well in the water and forms a smooth paste quite easily. Since I had purchased only a sample pack, I made the paste in bulk and stored it in the fridge. Less than 10gms of the product gave me more than 5 uses which is very impressive. I massage this paste onto my skin to gently exfoliate my face and then let it dry for a good 10 minutes before washing it off. This mask sucks out all the oil from my face and brings a natural glow to my skin. What I love a lot about the product is the zesty scent of oranges that truly wakes me up in the mornings and makes me feel like I am using something pure on my face.
If you are someone with oily and acne prone skin then you must use this product as a face pack and if you have normal to dry skin then sticking to it as a face wash would be better. With regular use, it does eliminate dead cells to get rid of a tan and also dries up any pimples to reveal clearer skin. Overall, I do not see any cons to the product and the price of INR 220 for 40gms is pretty reasonable considering the quality and the small quantity of product required per use. You can buy this product on Amazon and can also order a sample from Smytten if you are a member. If you are looking for some last minute skin detox before Diwali for that festive glow then this product will definitely be your knight in shining armour!
Unlike most people, I am extremely picky about my lip balms. Anything that needs to be reapplied twenty times a day or clings to the dry patches does not make the cut for me. This obsession for lip balms started during my college years when I first discovered the joys (read sorrows) of pigmented and chapped lips. My lips still act up occasionally when I become a little lazy about scrubbing or moisturizing them, which is when I need a good sheer lip balm to come to my rescue. The Soultree Viola & Kokum Butter Lip Balm is what is currently nourishing my lips and I am absolutely loving it!
This lovely lip balm looks mauvish pink in the tube but does not impart any color to the lips. However, it is top notch in the hydration department and leaves my lips feeling moisturized for hours, without any greasiness or stickiness. When freshly applied, it smells like the coconut toffees that every kid in India consumed during the 90’s but the scent disappears soon and it does not have any discernible taste either. The formula contains Ghee, which is known to lighten pigmented lips while hydrating them, as well as a blend of seven organic oils and Kokum Butter. It is also free of parabens, sulfates, lead, and petroleum, and is a vegetarian product.
I love the softness that this lip balm imparts to my lips as well as the longevity of the product (I only apply it twice a day). The violet and brown packaging has also stolen my heart, although the cap does not click shut, which means that the cap may come off if not stored carefully and the lip balm may collect dust and grime. Other than this flaw in the packaging, I absolutely adore this product and feel that the price tag of INR 295 for 3.5 gms of lip balm is completely justified. This is definitely going to be my autumn-winter staple and if you are a lip balm snob just like me then you should also get your hands on this product asap!
I hope that this review was helpful. You can buy the Soultree Viola & Kokum Butter Lip Balm here.

I recently received the Greenberry Organics 3 In 1 Mud Ash in my mail and my skin has been thanking me ever since for the pampering that it has been receiving! I have always been a fan of multi-tasking products and this one can be used as a cleanser, scrubber, or mask, a perfect combo for me 🙂
The formula combines the cleansing action of clay with the soothing touch of tea tree oil and the nourishing properties of aloe vera. This powerful concoction sucks the dirt and grease from the pores, leaving the skin squeaky clean yet soft and supple. I also use this as a scrub on my nose and it works like magic on my blackheads. My nose has never felt so smooth before!
The cherry on top of the cake is the sleek packaging, which can give any high-end brand a run for their money. This product is a joy to use and the end results are extremely satisfying. Bear in mind that this is a very potent formula, so do not leave it on the face for more than a couple of minutes. It needs barely a few seconds to work its magic.
This amazing mud ash mask has become an irreplaceable part of my skincare routine and I use it as a daily cleanser and a weekly mask. Priced at INR 499 for a 100 ml jar, it is very pocket-friendly because you will only need a small amount of the product each day. It is wonderful that Greenberry Organics is making the forgotten natural remedies of India extremely accessible to those with a hectic lifestyle. They have provided a modern makeover to the ancient ingredients to create an incredibly effective product! I highly recommend this 3 in 1 face care product to all those with oily skin because it may be a bit too strong for those with dry and sensitive skin.
You can purchase this fantastic 3 in 1 Mud Ash Mask from the Amazon store of Greenberry Organics. I will definitely be trying out some more products from their skincare range soon!

The amazing folks at Qtrove kindly sent me some of their lovely products to try out, and boy, I am thoroughly impressed! In case you do not know already, Qtrove is a curated online marketplace that primarily focusses on handmade and organic goods produced on a small scale. There are tons of options to choose from, be it skin care or food items, fashion or home decor. I think it is a wonderful initiative to promote the home based sellers and budding entrepreneurs of India! With so many delightful choices at hand, it was hard for me to shortlist what I wanted to try. Here is what I finally chose, and the Qtrove team sent it my way within a few days!
I went for the Organa Refreshing Apple Juice and the Ardhana Coffee Organic Lip Scrub, both the products being great for the summer months. I literally gulped down the entire bottle of the Organa Apple Juice in one go! It is made with 100% organic apple pulp and does not have any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, just the goodness of crunchy apples. I could almost feel the crisp texture of the apples, a sign that the product is made from high-quality fruit. What better way to stay hydrated and energized in the sweltering heat?
As soon as I unscrewed the lid of the Ardhana Coffee Lip Scrub, I was greeted by the heavenly aroma of freshly ground coffee beans. The texture of the product is gritty enough to remove dead skin from flaky lips while the oily base, made with shea butter, beeswax and olive oil, moisturizes the lips really well. The scrub has the richness of a homemade concoction that our grandmothers would prepare to rescue our hair or skin. It leaves my lips looking plumper too! The love with which it is made definitely shines through.
I would highly recommend checking out Qtrove’s online store to pamper yourself with pure ingredients and products that are specially made for you. The Qtrove team has also provided a coupon code for you guys to get a 15% discount on your first purchase (for orders of more than INR 500, paid online).
