Yet another Multani Mitti face pack, I thought, when I received the St. D’Vence Multani Lotion in a subscription box recently. However, the moment I tried it, I knew that this face pack was different from any other multani mitti face pack I have tried in the past. Read on to find out why this product should be a part of your summer skincare routine.
Fruits are not just great for our general health but also for our skin because they are abundant in anti-oxidants and vitamins. The Biotique Bio Fruit Face Pack uses this wisdom of Ayurveda to provide a powerful concoction of skin brightening ingredients that are natural and extremely effective. Read on to find out more about this wonderful product that is packed with the goodness of nature.
Ingredients – Multani mitti (Fuller’s earth), Geru (Garric), Yasad hhasma (Yasad bhasma), Tamator (Lycopersicum esculentum), Ananas (Ananas comosus), Kikargaund (Acacia Arabica), Paste base Q.S.
As is clear from the ingredient list, this pack combines the juices of pineapple, tomato, lemon and papaya fruit with Multani Mitti to provide a bright and flawless finish to the skin. The formula is in the form of a smooth and creamy pink face pack that glides on the skin and covers the entire face with just a scoop of the product. Upon application, I feel a warm sensation on my skin, but it goes away within a few minutes and is nothing painful at all.
I leave it on for approximately 15 minutes, and within that time, it dries down almost completely but does not tug at the skin or become too uncomfortable to keep on. Once I wash it off, my skin looks way brighter than before, and feels non-greasy but not dry or stretchy. The face pack is able to retain the moisture of the skin while removing all the gunk and grease and it also evens the skin tone and removes dullness at the same time.
Needless to say, this multi-tasking face pack has managed to impress me, I haven’t used any other formula that manages to clear out the pores so well without leaving the skin feeling parched. Also, the price point of INR 199 for a 75gm jar is completely affordable and the goodness of Ayurveda in the form of a cocktail of fruit vitamins is definitely worth the investment. If you wish to restore a youthful vitality to your face then you must give this product a try!
The jars and bottles and vials of skincare do look pretty on the bathroom shelf but when I am travelling, I want something that is spillproof, unbreakable, and preferably multi-tasking. The Nivea Total Face Cleanup is the perfect product for a low maintenance traveller like me. Also, this product holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the first great skincare products I ever used. While growing up, Nivea products were considered luxury because they were a little expensive than your regular Ponds or Vaseline. So this is a product that I have been using since a really long time and I’m probably one of the most qualified persons to review it 😛
This product is a face wash, scrub, and pack combined in one. It has a similar consistency to a semi-thick clay mask and has tiny gritty particles embedded in it. It is a really effective scrub that does help with the removal of white heads, while being gentle enough for sensitive skin, and the cleansing action is decent too. I also love using it as a mask because it dries down in less than 5 minutes and sucks out all the grease from the face if you keep it on for around 10 minutes.
As you can see, the first three ingredients of this product are water, Kaolin Clay, and Glycerin. The clay helps in absorbing all the grime from the face while the glycerin ensures that the skin does not become too dry. However, it does contain parabens as well, which may turn off a few people. Personally, I don’t mind using something with parabens once in a while, especially because I almost always use organic skincare and use this product primarily when I am travelling (which is not as often as I would like). Also, the tube packaging makes it ideal for throwing into my purse or luggage to make sure that I don’t neglect my skincare completely while on holiday.
Priced at INR 120 for a 50ml tube, this is a fairly affordable product and is multi-tasking too. I love its pleasant fragrance, effective scrubbing action, and efficacy as a face mask. While the product claims to remove spots as well, I haven’t seen much improvement in that department but other than that, I am completely satisfied with the Nivea Total Face Cleanup. Essential oils hold a very special place in my heart because they are a one-stop solution to a multitude of skin and hair concerns. One brand that has really impressed me with their wide selection of essential oils, including sandalwood oil, avocado oil, and citronella oil to name a few, is Ryaal. Today I will be talking about the Ryaal Essentials Argan Oil which was kindly sent to me by the brand to review, in the form of a tiny royal blue glass bottle full of golden goodness.
The Ryaal Essentials Argan Oil is 100% pure and natural and is also cold pressed, which helps to retain the goodness of the Argan nuts in the best manner possible. This stunning blue bottle comes with a handy dropper that prevents wastage of the product, and you can add a precise amount of the oil to your homemade hair masks and face packs. I have already tried adding a few drops of this oil to my favorite hair mask and my hair felt so much softer than usual that I couldn’t stop running my fingers through my tresses. I also tried using this oil as a serum for the dry patches on my face, and as expected, the richness of the oil eliminated the dryness entirely.
This oil has a very faint, nutty smell, which means that the brand has not tried to enhance the natural scent by adding perfumes to the mix. Such a wonderful product does not need any additives to make it shine, it is perfect as it is and I am glad that Ryaal focusses on retaining the natural goodness of the oil. Texturewise, it is not too thick, and, in fact, does not feel heavy on the skin at all. A few drops of the oil can be used as a daily serum to keep the skin hydrated and baby soft. If you have oily hair, then you can mix it in with your conditioner and if you have dry ends then you can apply a small amount to your hair after drying to make them glossy and smooth. The options are endless with this marvelously versatile product!
The Ryaal Essentials Argan Oil is available on Amazon in bottles of different sizes ranging from 15ml to 1000ml. The 15ml bottle is priced at INR 199, which is pretty reasonable for pure Argan oil. I am really grateful to Ryaal for sending me a sample of this fantastic product and I will definitely be purchasing more oils from their amazing range soon!

I hope that you enjoy this lovely argan oil as much as I do and do let me know if you try any other essential oils from Ryaal.
Whenever I have some exciting event to go to, life always throws a curve ball in the form of nasty pimples. The Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Clear Face Pack is my best friend when it comes to shrinking these pimples within a few minutes. It is a clay based mask nourished with the goodness of tea tree oil and other herbs that help to combat acne and provide blemish-free skin.
The pack instructs to apply the product to clean skin and allow to dry completely for around 20 minutes and then rinse off. I like that the product does not stretch out the skin or make it excessively dry. It absorbs excess oil and leaves the skin fresh and glowing. I really love how it provides instant brightness to the skin along with working on acne.
A 60 gm tube of this face pack is reasonably priced at INR 165. Lotus Herbals is a brand that has always impressed me with the quality of its products and this one is no exception.
