Your girl has been on a hair colouring spree lately and this is the third time that I coloured the lower ends of my hair in around 6 months. I wanted to go for a more vibrant red this time and heard from someone that the Streax Cream Hair Colour in the shade Flame Red (0.6) can give me that vibrant red hue even on my dark brown hair. Here is my review of this hair colour along with unfiltered pictures of the colour on my hair.

In my previous post, I spoke about the importance of sunscreen and how you should reapply it after every 2-3 hours. This is all well and good if you are not wearing makeup, but how are you supposed to reapply your sunscreen when you are planning to wear a full face of makeup to spend a day outdoors? Here are some products that will help you apply sunscreen on top of makeup.
One product that has made the most drastic difference to my skin ever since I started using it religiously on a daily basis is sunscreen. Photoaging is one of the primary causes of premature aging of the skin, which leads to pigmentation, dullness and fine lines on the skin, and using a sunscreen on a daily basis is the only way to prevent it. There are two broad categories of sunscreen – Physical sunscreens or mineral sunscreens that contain ingredients that reflect the sun rays and Chemical sunscreens that contain ingredients that absorb the sun rays. While I personally do not have a preference between the two, physical sunscreens tend to be gentler on sensitive skin. Here is the list of my Top 5 Sunscreens in India, which cover both chemical and physical sunscreens and are suitable for a spectrum of skin types.Read More »
A lot of Indians suffer from oily skin and the humid climate of most parts of the country makes the situation even worse. While you might feel that the best way to take care of oily skin is to keep washing it every couple of hours, this, in fact, may worsen the situation as your skin may start producing more oil to compensate for the oil that is lost. Therefore, you need to wash your face twice a day with a cleanser that removes the grease but does not leave your skin feeling stretched out or dry. Here is my list of the Top 5 Face Washes for oily skin that target a range of skin concerns associated with this skin type.
Kaya is a brand that I haven’t really explored much till now, but whatever few products I have tried from their range have never disappointed. I was recently sent the Kaya Brightening Night Cream, the Kaya Brightening Beads Cleanser and the Kaya Derma Naturals Insta-Brightening Sheet Mask as PR, and here is my review of these products. Kindly bear in mind that I am reviewing these products based on their efficacy at nourishing the skin and evening out my skin tone. Some of these products claim to “lighten the skin tone” as well, but I do not support skin lightening, I simply explored what the formula of these products does for my skin in terms of reducing pigmentation and adding a natural glow, and here is an honest account of the same.
PAC cosmetics recently launched their Take Cover Concealers which took the internet by a storm from the day of the launch. A lot of you requested me to review the concealer on Instagram, and I decided to go one step further to do a comparison of the PAC Cosmetics Take Cover Concealer vs the PAC Cosmetics Spotlight Ready Concealer, both of which I had never used before. I picked up the shade 08 Stark Nude from the Take Cover concealers and the shade 08 Barely Nude from the Spotlight Ready concealers, and here is my review with swatches and comparison of both the concealers.
With so many new skincare brands expanding their wings in India, very few products and ranges tend to truly excite me and spark my curiosity anymore. “Myoho” by Pure by Priyanka is one such skincare brand that stood out to me in terms of their unique formulations, aesthetically pleasing packaging as well as the brand’s ethos. The brand kindly sent me a bunch of their products to try out, and I have been loving everything I have tested so far. Here is a review of all the products from the brand that I am loving at the moment.
Winter in India is usually quite cruel on the skin and leaves it dry and flakey. Even though I have oily skin during the warmer months, it leans towards combination to dry during the peak of winter and becomes quite dull too. This is why I was thrilled to receive a package from Suganda Skincare which contained 3 products that will take extra care of a range of skin types during the harsh and cold weather. This kit contains the Suganda Centella Green Tea Face Wash, the Suganda Niacinamide Serum and the Suganda Rosehip Moisturizer and here are my thoughts on these products!
When we talk about vegan and cruelty-free skincare brands in India, Plum is a name that comes to most of our minds, and the Plum Green Tea range of skincare is particularly raved about by those with oily and acne-prone skin. I have already reviewed the Plum Green Tea Pore Cleansing Face Wash and the Plum Green Tea Clear Face Mask on the blog, and today I will be talking about the Plum Green Tea Alcohol-free Toner and the Plum Green Tea Renewed Clarity Gel. Read on to find out how these products fared for my combination to oily, acne-prone skin.
It is that dreaded time of the year again when the weather is cold and dry and unforgiving on our skin. Who else detests winter with a passion just like I do? My flaky skin and “arid as a desert” elbows, hands and knees add to the gloominess and the lethargy that consumes me in the colder months. This time round, however, I am armed with a bunch of products to combat dryness, and the Organic Riot Spotlight Cream for elbows, hands and knees is the star of my skincare arsenal. This product was kindly sent to me by Organic Riot and Nykaa, and I can’t thank me enough for introducing me to this winter saviour. Read on to find out why I love this cream so much.
