I am someone who hates applying powder on my face, be it to set or bake my makeup. There is something about the texture of my skin, despite it being oily, that powder never seems to look flattering on my face. This is why I always have to rely on makeup setting sprays to enhance the longevity of my makeup and to make it stay put through a storm. I recently tried the Revlon Photoready Setting Spray and here are my thoughts on this product.
What I Like About the Revlon Photoready Setting Spray
I like that this setting spray dispenses an even and fine mist of product which ensures that the product coats my makeup uniformly. I also like the light-weight packaging which makes this setting spray handbag friendly, for a quick spritz on the go. The formula feels quite refreshing on the skin, like a cooling face mist, and works quite well at prepping or waking up the skin before you apply your makeup or for freshening up the makeup after a few hours of wear to prevent creasing or cracking.
What I Do Not Like About Revlon Photoready Setting Spray
The first thing that I do not like about the Revlon Photoready Setting Spray is its overwhelming scent which feels quite perfumy. This will put off those with sensitive skin or a sensitive nose. I also feel that this does not work as well at prolonging the wear time of the makeup as some of the other makeup setting sprays that I have tried. It also does not make the makeup dewy or matte, so it does not allow you to play around with the finish of the makeup as other setting sprays do. Also, the price point of INR 1095 is not very affordable for the quality of the product.
My Final Verdict on the Revlon Photoready Setting Spray
Overall, the Revlon Photoready Setting Spray failed to impress me when compared to the other setting sprays that I love (Loreal Infallible and NYX). I will try to use this up as something to refresh my makeup with but will go back to the other brands after I finish this up. What this product does can easily be replicated by way more affordable face mists with better ingredients. If this works for your skin type then that is amazing, but I will personally not recommend it.
