If you are someone who likes to layer their fragrances then the Nykaa Wanderlust products are tailormade for you. This range of bath and body products has shower gels, body scrubs, body milks, body butters and body mists in different families of fragrances, quite similar to the bath and body products from The Body Shop but at a fraction of the cost. I recently received the Nykaa Wanderlust Body Scrub in the Japanese Cherry Blossom fragrance in a PR box, and here is my review of it.
The packaging of this scrub and of the range, in general, is quite cute, with the pink cherry blossom print on it, and the scrub comes in a handy tube which I prefer to the tubs that many scrubs come in. The tube is easier to travel with, more hygienic and mess-free to use than a tub, and leak-proof too.
Coming to the actual formula of the product, the scrub comes in the form of a translucent white gel with white scrub particles embedded through it. These white particles are not too harsh on the skin and are perfect for removing dead skin without being overly abrasive. The ingredient list features aloe as one of the top ingredients, which is why the scrub feels quite soothing during use and leaves the skin incredibly soft thereafter.
While I usually love the scent of cherry blossom, I found the fragrance of this scrub a little too perfumy and different from the natural cherry blossom scent. If you like strong floral perfumes then you will love the scent, just don’t expect it to be exactly like cherry blossoms. The longevity of the fragrance is commendable too, because even though I just used the scrub from the range, the scent lingered on my skin was several hours every time I tested the product. I am sure that if you layer all the products from the range then the scent will last all day long and will be fairly noticeable.
My Final Verdict on the Nykaa Wanderlust Body Scrub
If you are someone who likes perfumed body products then the Nykaa Wanderlust range is ideal for you, and the Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Scrub is an excellent product too because it scrubs the skin really well and leaves it super soft and nourished. The price of INR 350 for a 140gm tube is pretty decent. I will recommend heading to a Nykaa store to give all the fragrances from the Wanderlust range a sniff, so as to pick your favourite one.
