If I were asked to give up all the skincare ingredients in the world and only keep one, I would choose Vitamin C without a fraction of doubt. Vitamin C is what truly trasnformed my skin by fading the acne marks from my teenage years, and whenever my skin goes through a bad phase these days, I amp up the Vitamin C and my skin goes back to its healthy state within a few weeks. Needless to say, I am always excited to try a new Vitamin C product, and the one that has been on my vanity since a month is the Myoho Pure By Priyanka Vitamin C Serum. Read on to find out how I use this product and how it has fared for me so far.
The Myoho Pure By Priyanka Vitamin C Serum comes in a very nice packaging with a screw on lid that holds the product securely until you crack it open, and a separate cap with a dropper for when you start using the product. The glass bottle is a tinted one because Vitamin C is unstable when exposed to light. I wish that the dropper had a little more control to it when you are drawing out the product but it works fine overall. The label has the beautiful branding that all the Pure by Priyanka products can easily be recognised by.
The Myoho Pure By Priyanka Vitamin C Serum contains 15% Vitamin C in the form of 5% tetrahexadecyl ascorbate and 10% L Ascorbic Acid. What is interesting about the ingredients is that tetrahexadecyl ascorbate is a form of Vitamin C that is soluble in fats, unlike most forms of Vitamin C that are water-soluble and insoluble in fats. While water soluble Vitamin C can act upon the top layers of the skin, it cannot penetrate into the inner lipid layer, whereas tetrahexadecyl ascorbate can do so. What this means is that this serum can go deeper into the skin and its anti-oxidants can work on the inner layers of the skin too. The product also contains hydrating ingredients such as Jojoba Oil, Almond Extract, Shea Butter, Wheatgerm Oil and Hyaluronic Acid.
The serum feels like a semi-viscous liquid that bursts into a watery consistency, even though there are a few oils in the ingredient list. It largely feels like a water-based serum but is quite hydrating. Those with very oily skin can get away with just this serum, without any other moisturizer on top. You can use this serum during the day under a sunscreen and at night under a night cream for added hydration.
My Experience with Myoho Pure By Priyanka Vitamin C Serum
I am head over heels in love with this serum as it has helped in fading some spots that I had from recent breakouts and has added an overall glow to my face within a few weeks of use. I use this serum at night under a moisturiser and have been waking up to radiant skin and way more even skin tone than in recent times. My skin had felt neglected due to some personal commitments lately and this serum has been able to reverse the damage my lifestyle had caused to my skin. My final verdict is that this is an excellent product if you wish to incorporate Vitamin C in your regimen. It is light weight but hydrating and should suit most skin types, and with regular use it will certainly reduce pigmentation and dullness. At the price of INR 795 for a 30ml bottle, you can’t really go wrong with the Myoho Pure By Priyanka Vitamin C Serum!
