Kaya Brightening Night Cream, Cleanser and Sheet Mask | Review

Kaya is a brand that I haven’t really explored much till now, but whatever few products I have tried from their range have never disappointed. I was recently sent the Kaya Brightening Night Cream, the Kaya Brightening Beads Cleanser and the Kaya Derma Naturals Insta-Brightening Sheet Mask as PR, and here is my review of these products. Kindly bear in mind that I am reviewing these products based on their efficacy at nourishing the skin and evening out my skin tone. Some of these products claim to “lighten the skin tone” as well, but I do not support skin lightening, I simply explored what the formula of these products does for my skin in terms of reducing pigmentation and adding a natural glow, and here is an honest account of the same.

Kaya Brightening Beads Cleanser | Review

The Kaya Brightening Beads Cleanser is a creamy cleanser with exfoliating particles running through the formula. This product contains SLES, which is a milder version of SLS that does not cause redness or irritation on the skin like the latter. The cleanser does not produce much lather and is essentially like a non-foaming face wash. The exfoliating particles are quite effective at removing dead skin but you have to make sure to go in with a gentle hand, else they might be a little abrasive. The formula also contains lactic acid and niacinamide, which along with the scrub particles help to restore the natural radiance of the skin. This cleanser leaves the skin glowy, supple and hydrated, and I will recommend it for dry to combination skin (it may not be able to single-handedly remove all the grease from oily skin). This face wash is quite affordable too and is priced at INR 150 for a 50ml tube. Click here to buy!

Kaya Brightening Night Cream | Review

The Kaya Brightening Night Cream is a light-weight yet nourishing formula which is somewhere between a lotion and a cream in terms of consistency. This product sinks into the skin quickly and provides ample hydration without feeling greasy or sticky. It will be suitable for moderately dry to moderately oily skin types, and can be layered with a hydrating serum or oil to supply sufficient hydration to extremely dry skin. It contains Niacinamide and Vitamin C (concentrations not mentioned), which help with evening out the skin tone by reducing patchiness and pigmentation. The formula also has a sweet cold-creamish fragrance which I personally do not mind. This product is a good alternative for those with dull skin who are looking for a solution that is light and hydrating. The packaging is also quite sturdy and attractive and comes with a pump. The product is priced at INR 950 for 50ml, but is usually available at a discounted price on Nykaa. Click here to buy.

Kaya Derma Naturals 5 Flower Insta Brightening Sheet Mask | Review

The Kaya Derma Naturals 5 Flower Insta-Brightening Facial Mask is a sheet mask with Niacinamide and brightening flower extracts. This sheet mask feels extremely cooling on the skin and hydrates it really well. It leaves my skin calm and plump and adds a subtle glow to my face (not as brightening as some of the other sheet masks I have used). This sheet mask works really well in conjunction with the cleanser and the night cream and leaves dull and tired skin looking soft and hydrated instantly. It is a great quick fix for the days when your skin just won’t cooperate and you have a special event to go to. Each sheet mask is priced at INR 125 but Nykaa has some great deals on this product too. Click here to buy.

Overall, I would say that all three products are quite gentle and effective at brightening and evening out the skin tone while nourishing the skin. I personally love the night cream the most and will recommend it to those of you who are looking for a new one. Let me know what other products from the brand you would like me to review next in the comments below!
