Tvakh is an Indian skincare brand that has some amazing products with clean and effective ingredients, and I have recommended their Vitamin C Exfoliating Water to everybody on the lookout for a chemical exfoliator ever since I first tried it. I recently received two of their new launches as a part of a giveaway – the Tvakh Pink Clay Acne Purifying Face Mask and the Tvakh Aloe & Grapeseed Skin Brightening Massage Gel. Continue reading to find out what I thought about both these products.

Both the Tvakh Pink Clay Mask and the Aloe and Grapeseed Massage gel come in 100gm plastic jars with screw-on lids. The packaging is quite sturdy but you have to be a little careful about keeping the jars upright because the product may leak out a little if the jars are placed horizontally for too long. The clay mask is priced at INR 445 and the massage gel is priced at INR 693. I like that all the ingredients of the two products are clearly listed on the packaging. Both the products are paraben-free and cruelty-free.

The Tvakh Pink Clay Acne Purifying Mask has a beautiful blue and orange floral print on the label and the product inside is equally beautiful too. This product has pink clay, calamine powder and Bentonite as some of its key ingredients along with a bunch of nourishing and brightening ingredients that include fruit enzymes and natural AHA (check full ingredient list in the image below). The USP of this product is that it sucks out the dirt from the pores without stretching out or drying the skin at all. In fact, it leaves the skin plump and hydrated, unlike most clay masks, because it contains pink clay, which is a mild and soothing variant of clay (Read more about the benefits of pink clay here).

This mask should suit all skin types except extremely sensitive skin. It does not burn or tingle on the skin but those with really sensitive skin may feel a slight warmth when they use the product the first few times. Also, it does have a strong herbal scent which seemed to irritate my eyes a little during application, so I prefer not to apply this mask too close to my eyes. The product is pretty smooth and creamy in consistency and glides on the skin effortlessly. You are supposed to leave it on the face for around 10 minutes in which time it dries down slightly on the skin but does not crack or tug at the skin at all, retaining a creamy moistness which helps in making the skin supple and moist. Post wash, you will be greeted by youthful, radiant skin. The mask also shrinks any active acne within one use and will help reduce the appearance of acne altogether with regular usage, once or twice a week. Overall, it is a great mask for those who find most clay masks too drying.

The Tvakh Aloe and Grapeseed Skin Brightening Massage Gel is essentially a gel based moisturiser that contains organic aloe vera juice, grapeseed oil, Amla extracts and sweet almond oil as some of its star ingredients. This gel is extremely soothing and sinks into the skin in a jiffy. It is a gentle product that is perfect for normal to oily skin as a standalone moisturiser and dry skinned people can layer this over another moisturiser to seal the hydration in place. It adds a subtle radiance to the face with regular use and reduces oiliness too. The only downside of this product in my opinion is that it contains fragrance, so it may not suit those with extremely sensitive skin. I also wish that the packaging was a little more colourful, like that of the clay mask. Other than that, if you are loooking for a mild and soothing, light-weight moisturiser then this massage gel will tick all the right boxes for you.
