Flower Beauty Flower Pots Powder Blush – Peach Primrose | Review and Swatches

Flower Beauty is an American drugstore makeup brand founded by Drew Barrymore, which has the philosophy of celebrating natural beauty and enhancing what we are already blessed with by means of makeup. This philosophy truly resonated with me and I was glad when the brand launched in India on Nykaa.com. Flower Beauty was kind enough to send me a few of their products to try out recently, and here is my review of the Flower Pots Powder Blush in the shade Peach Primrose.

Let us first take a moment to appreciate the packaging of the product. The blush comes in a round casing with a transparent flip lid and golden accents, however, what is most striking about the packaging is the beautiful flower engraved in the product itself. This makes the product look delicate and is excellent branding in my opinion.

Coming to the formula of the blush, it is a finely milled powder which has some amount of kickback when swatched but it glides like butter on the cheeks and leaves a very flattering sheer wash of colour. I was worried that the shade Peach Primrose would be too pale for me but it shows up quite nicely on my cheeks and leaves a beautiful orangeish-peach flush. I feel that this colour will show up nicely on all skin tones up to NC40 but you may need to build the colour up if you are darker than NC35. The shade Peach Primrose is very unique for me because I usually go for pink or peachy-pink blushes whereas this one is an orangeish-peach without any pink undertones. It suits my warm skin tone pretty well and gives a just pinched effect that lasts all day long.

Overall, I feel that the formula of this blush is definitely worth trying because it gives an effortless and even pigmentation to the cheeks. The other shades in the range are beautiful too and the shade Warm Hibiscus is supposed to be a dupe of Nars Orgasm. The price is a little steep for a drugstore brand but you get 6gm of product for INR 965, whereas brands like Maybelline have around 4.5 gm of product in their standard blush packaging. Also, the packaging and quality of the product make it worth the price for me. Even if you are on a budget, you can grab it during one of the frequent sales on Nykaa, and can currently get all Flower Beauty products for up to 30% off plus an additional 5% off using my coupon code NYKFLB5WDJER. This offer is valid till the 2nd of September. So make use of this fantastic deal and try out this wonderful brand!
