Shesha Naturals Extra Virgin Coconut Oil | Review

To me, purity is transparency, and this philosophy is resonated by the Shesha Naturals Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, quite literally. Shesha Naturals is a strictly natural Indian brand with a range of skincare and haircare products that are 100% natural, cruelty-free, and free from parabens, silicones, petroleum derivatives, artificial colour and artificial fragrances. The brand was kind enough to send me a few of their products to try, and today I will talking about their Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.

One look at the clarity of this coconut oil and I was sold. To add to this, the Shesha Naturals Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is made from fresh coconut milk by means of no-heat VCO extraction. This means that it retains the maximum goodness of coconuts which can otherwise be reduced by heat based extraction methods. This virgin coconut oil is edible and rich in Lauric Acid and Vitamin E. It also works really well as a massage oil, a hair oil, and as an oil for oil pulling.

I have personally used this oil regularly for oil pulling ever since I received the product. The oil literally feels pure in the mouth and has a very pleasant coconut taste. I have tried oil pulling earlier as well with lower grade coconut oils, and found their taste a little unpleasant to hold in the mouth for 5-10 minutes. With this oil, I face no such issues, and I am easily able to squish the oil about in my mouth for a good 10 minutes. Once I spit it out, my teeth feel squeaky clean, and any food odor that my mouth had earlier disappears, leaving my breath completely fresh. This is honestly the best oil pulling experience I have ever had.

I also used this oil to moisturize my skin after shaving, while I always tend to get razor rash on my legs, I experienced no rashes or itchiness after using this oil. It nourished my skin really well without being greasy or sticky. It got absorbed into the pores very quickly and only a little residue was left on the skin surface. This oil is extremely hydrating, and while I haven’t tried oiling my scalp with it due to the summer heat, I am sure it will work really well as a hair oil too!

Overall, I highly recommend you to pick up a bottle of this coconut oil as soon as possible. It is priced at INR 299 for 200ml of product, and believe me, if you pick up this coconut oil then you will never go back to any other brand of coconut oil. So try out the Shesha Naturals Extra Virgin Coconut Oil today and I am sure you will thank me later!
