Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm | Review

There are some products that come in your life and completely change your skincare game. As far-fetched as it may sound, it seems like I may not turn back to micellar waters anytime soon, thanks to an amazing cleansing balm I have discovered. The product I am going to review today is the Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm, a cult level cleansing balm that many bloggers I trust swear by. I was finding it hard to get my hands on this product without spending a massive amount on shipping, but finally bought it during a sale from StyleKorean.com. Here are my thoughts on this product after using it for a couple of weeks.

The Banila Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm comes in a gigantic tub that holds 100ml of product. It is a simple plastic tub with a screw on lid but the light pink colour and the simple font gives it a classic look. I went for the original variant of the product which comes in a pink packaging, other variants of the balm, such as revitalizing and purifying, are available in different colours, but I chose to stick with the classic version. The product comes nicely sealed with a peel off cover on the jar and also has a separately packed spatula for scooping out the product without using your fingers.

The product looks like a solid white balm in the tub but can be scooped out easily with the spatula and literally melts into an oil when gently rubbed against the skin. You literally need one tiny scoop of the balm to make the oil cover your entire face and neck. The product turns into a very smooth and spreadable oil on the skin and you simply have to massage your face with the oil to make all your makeup melt off your face. Once my makeup is dissolved in the oil (within half a minute), and the oil has turned milky, I simply rinse it off with some water. Water is able to remove the oil and the melted makeup with ease and it leaves my skin feeling clean and unclogged. I then go in with a face wash to get rid of any remaining traces of the product and am greeted by squeaky clean skin. This cleansing balm literally melts off every makeup item I use, from liquid lipsticks to stubborn mascara, plus there is no need to use a cotton pad with this product, which makes this more convenient and sustainable to use than micellar water. Needless to say, this cleansing balm has become a holy grail item for me.

The only issue pertaining to this product is its availability in India or lack thereof. I bought mine from a sale on stylekorean.com when it was priced at 7 USD, and I had to pay an additional 7 USD for shipping. So I paid a total of approximately INR 1000 for this jar (I wasn’t charged any customs separately), which is still reasonable considering that this jar might even last me a whole year. However, without the discount, this product is priced at 23 USD (around INR 2400) on Style Korean and at around INR 2700 on Amazon.  My suggestion would be to wait for this product to go on a discount or to grab it if you are travelling abroad because everyone should possess at least one jar of this miracle cleansing balm!
