Unless you have been living under a rock, you would know that Miniso now has multiple stores in India! For those who are unfamiliar with the brand, Miniso is a Japan-based designer brand that sells a range of affordable goods, from stationery and kitchenware to skincare and travel accessories. Its USP is cute looking products at affordable prices, which is what sucks the customers in! However, some of its products can be hit or miss. Read on to find out my thoughts on the Miniso Fresh Fragrance Body Mist, and my list of things to buy and not to buy from Miniso India!
I must confess, it was the cute packaging of this product that first caught my eye, however, when I tried out the tester, I was even more determined to add this body mist to my cart. This Fresh Fragrance Body Mist has a refreshing floral scent that lingers on the skin for a couple of hours. The longevity is not too much, but while it lasts on the skin it emanates a beautiful sweet scent which I love. Also, it is priced at an affordable INR 190 for this cute and travel-friendly plastic bottle that contains 100ml of product. Overall, I feel that it is a good buy if you are someone who likes collecting body mists (guilty!).
Coming to what to buy and what not to buy at Miniso India, I will recommend buying only those things for which the quality can be gauged by visual inspection or the things that have testers available. They have a good collection of affordable travel pillows, storage boxes, cushions etc that are quite sturdy and of good quality. Their stationery is super cute too, but I will recommend not getting sucked into this rabbit hole unless you actually use stationery on a daily basis or work on DIY projects. Coming to the skincare, makeup, fragrance section, almost everything has testers, so do try out the product on your skin before deciding whether to purchase it or not. Also, take a look at the ingredient list to ensure that it does not contain any ingredient that doesn’t suit you. I personally was not impressed with their makeup range and the lack of shade range in face products but their skincare does look intriguing. You can also stock up on the cotton pads and swabs because they are fairly affordable here.
A few things that I will not recommend buying are razors – they are cheap but blunt, kitchenware – some of it is overpriced so do compare prices with other stores before buying, massagers – not worth the price, and hooks to hang things – they do not stick well on walls.
Like I said, stick to the things whose functionality and quality you can test in the store and you will be good. Also, keep a check on your shopping basket because too many tiny things can also leave a dent in your bank balance. What are your favourite items from Miniso? Let me know in the comments below!
