The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Concentrate | Review

Isn’t it amazing when a sample sized product lasts you for weeks, so much so that you are able to write a review on it? It rarely happens that a skincare sample lasts me long enough for me to form an opinion on it but this time I received a sample of The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Concentrate with my recent order and I was pleasantly surprised at how long this product has lasted me (it is still going strong). Here are my thoughts on this product after using it for a few weeks.

Just like the full-sized version of this concentrate, the sample size comes in a green plastic bottle with a dropper. The packaging is quite beautiful and soothing to the eyes while being travel-friendly. The product inside is a clear runny gel that feels slightly thicker than water but sinks into the skin instantly. It does not leave any sheen or greasiness on the face and is extremely light-weight. It also mattifies the skin to a certain extent without making it dry, but it is not hydrating either, making it more suitable for oily skinned people.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find the ingredient list for this product anywhere, but whatever this mystery potion contains seems to work wonders for my combination, acne-prone skin. Although this product claims to be an anti-aging one that makes the skin smooth and supple, it also worked on my acne and helped get rid of the bumps within days. My skin tone has become more even and my skin has definitely become smoother since I started using this product as a serum. It does make the skin feel slightly stretchy, so if you are someone with dry skin then I will not recommend using this product unless you apply a heavy moisturiser or facial oil on top.

I wish that I could find the full ingredient list somewhere to figure out why this product worked so well for me but all I could find was that the concentrate is made with organic and 99% natural ingredients.

I always used to wonder why this serum is priced at a whopping INR 2495 for only 30ml of product, but now I know this is because you will need only 2 drops a day and one bottle will last you for more than 6 months. I am definitely going to stock up on this when there is some kind of a discount running on the website and so should you if you have oily and acne-prone skin!
