Plum Body Butters – Creme Caramel and Wild Cherries & Kiwi | Review

Plum recently launched two new variants of their body butters and also had a BOGO offer running on these. The new fragrances that they launched are Creme Caramel and Berry Sorbet, and they also repackaged their original fragrances which were Fig & Vanilla and Wild Cherries & Kiwi. I picked up the Creme Caramel and the Wild Cherries & Kiwi variants and have been loving both these body butters to bits. Here is why –

You can’t talk about a product without mentioning its packaging right? What I loved about the packaging of these body butters is the clear protective lid to prevent any leakage. Other than that, the packaging is in the form of a very standard plastic tub with a screw on lid, but this additional lid is a winner for me.

The formula of these body butters is superbly creamy and slightly thick, but it sinks quite quickly into the skin and does not leave an oily film on the body. I love how the brand has managed to make a product that provides intense hydration without being thick and goopy. I usually prefer lotions to body butters because I don’t like that sticky feeling that body butters tend to leave on the skin but I don’t face any such issues with this product. Coming to the fragrance, these body butters are heavily fragranced, but that is something I enjoy when it comes to body moisturisers. The Creme Caramel variant has a sugary warm scent but is not sickly sweet and the Wild Cherries and Kiwi variant has a fruity scent which reminds me of the Strawberry scent from The Body Shop. I personally feel that the Creme Caramel scent is perfect for winters while the Wild Cherries and Kiwi Scent is more suitable for summers.

Overall, I am really happy with these body butters because they have the perfect consistency for the dry and cold weather that we are experiencing in most parts of India. They are priced at INR 650 for a 200g tub and are usually available on discount on the brand’s website. I feel that these are affordable (and better) alternatives to The Body Shop body butters and are perfect for this time of the year. Plus they are vegan and cruelty-free as well! I highly recommend picking up at least one of these!
