You need to apply sunscreen DAILY, regardless of the weather conditions or your schedule. Those pesky UV rays are everywhere, and you need sun protection all day long. 2. Using a Toner Every Time You Cleanse – Every time you wash your face or use a face mask, the product unclogs your pores and removes all the gunk from them, but after this is done, your pores are still open. This is where a toner comes into the picture. Using a toner helps to close back your pores so that they don’t remain exposed to dirt and pollution. 3. Removing Your Makeup Every Night – Contrary to popular belief, it isn’t makeup that destroys your skin but not letting your skin breathe at all. Leaving makeup on overnight is perhaps the worst thing you could do to your skin. No matter how exhausted you are, your skin is even more exhausted and needs to be decongested and allowed to heal overnight. I am a strong believer in double cleansing, so first break down your makeup with a micellar water or cream cleanser and then follow it up with a face wash. Top it up with a toner and moisturiser. This skincare ritual may seem too tedious but trust me, it takes only 5 minutes and will make your skin look so much better the next day.

  1. I am such a homebody that I don’t even need a sunscreen anymore. But somedays when I get out of comfort zone to step out my house I do need it. Which one would you recommend for sensitive, oily acne prone skin? I have been using toner since two months now and I have definitely difference in acne breakouts that I get and oiliness on my skin. I don’t wear makeup unless special occasion which is once in years. Anyways since last time I tried makeup in may I have been buying one by one makeup products which suits my skin type and color so yeah I have lot to learn. I have Garnier miceller water.
