Greenberry Organics Detox Charcoal Face Wash | Review

Another day, another Greenberry Organics product on the testing table. But what can I do? All the products that the brand sent me are so amazing that I feel that I need to tell you guys about them asap! Today I will be talking about the Greenberry Organics Detox Charcoal Face Wash that is enriched with the goodness of tea tree, mulberry & grapefruit.

This face wash provides the perfect daily detox to the skin. It contains activated charcoal whose adsorption properties help to suck out all the dirt and grime from the pores, making it the perfect ingredient to fight the pollution, smoke, and dust that our faces are exposed to each day. Furthermore, the tea tree and grapefruit extracts help to combat acne while the mulberry extracts reduce dark spots and brighten the skin with regular usage.

The face wash comes in the form of a black gel that lathers quite well and cleanses the skin really thoroughly. I usually use a makeup remover prior to washing my face but just to test out this product, I skipped the remover and went in straight with this face wash on a full face of makeup. I was super impressed with how this product removed every last bit of makeup, leaving my skin squeaky clean.

What truly amazed me about this product is its oil controlling properties. I suffer from fairly oily skin and my t-zone gets shiny within a few hours no matter what products I use. This face wash is the only product that keeps my whole face, including my t-zone, non-greasy throughout the day! Even though it keeps the oil at bay, it does not leave the skin feeling dry or stretchy, in fact, my skin feels quite soft and hydrated after using this face wash. This is super impressive because most face washes for oily skin cause at least a mild amount of dryness on the skin but not this one. It also does not tingle or irritate the skin, so it is suitable for sensitive skin as well and should work for all skin types except perhaps extremely dry skin. Do keep the face wash away from your eyes though, it stings the eyes pretty badly 😛

The face wash comes in a plastic bottle with a flip cap that dispenses the right amount of product. The packaging is pretty sturdy, however, when I received the bottle, a very teeny amount of the liquid had leaked out through the sides of the cap. This could have been due to rough handling during shipping because once I washed the lid and screwed it on tightly, I did not see any more leakage. Other than this small issue, I cannot find any other negative about the product and I will definitely recommend this product to all those who suffer from oily skin. The price point of INR 400 for 100ml of the product seems justified considering the long-lasting effects of this face wash and the small amount of product that is needed per wash. Also, this face wash works better at oil control than some of the luxury skincare items I have tried so I would not mind paying 400 bucks for it in the least. Overall, I am highly impressed with this product and I am sure that if it can keep me oil free in the humid climate that I live in then it will certainly work for all of you as well!
